Christopher Palmer, MD


Christopher M. Palmer, MD, received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine and completed his internship and psychiatry residency at McLean Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Harvard Medical School. He is currently Director of the Department of Postgraduate and Continuing Education, Director of the Family and Consumer Education Initiative, both at McLean Hospital, and an assistant professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He is also a practicing psychiatrist specializing in treatment-resistant cases, and for years now, has worked with patients using diet, exercise, and other holistic approaches to treatment, in addition to psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. Most recently, he is studying the effects of the ketogenic diet on a variety of psychiatric disorders, has published in this area, has been an invited speaker at a number of medical conferences, and has discussed this research with the media.
